Didn’t get enough of the Pokemon craze in the 1990s? Have you enjoyed collecting Pokemon cards over the past few decades and want to add to your collection?

Unfortunately Pokemon cards aren’t being sold at every corner store like they were twenty years ago. However, you can still find Pokemon cards for sale if you know where to look.

Here’s where we’d suggest looking to buy collectible Pokemon cards:

eBay

If you’re looking for rare original collectible Pokemon cards, eBay is a great spot, especially our Neatstuff Collectibles eBay store! If you purchase from other sellers, we’d recommend purchasing single cards that have been authenticated and refrain from purchasing larger collections because there’s a good chance the collection has been pre-sorted and won’t contain anything of real value.

Big Box Stores Like Target, Walmart and Gamestop

You can actually still buy Pokemon card games at these stores, but be aware they are not the old collectible version you’re remembering. So if you just want to play the game, this is perfectly fine, but if you’re looking for collectibles this may not be the best spot. And be aware that many sellers online on Amazon are selling fake or pre-sorted collections worth little to no collectible value.

Collectibles Stores

Vintage Pokemon cards do have value and occasionally local collectible stores will have some in stock. Try calling around to some of your local collectible stores to see if they have any. It’s worth calling ahead of time because they aren’t as ubiquitous as they used to be, even in the collectibles industry.

Estate Sales

Estate sales are always hit or miss- you never really know what you’ll find. If you like the hunt for rare collectibles, this could be a good option, especially if you don’t have particular items in mind. However you could also call or email ahead of time to see if they have anything you’d be interested in.

Conclusion

Neatstuff Collectibles buys and sells millions of dollars worth of collectibles each year, and a portion of that is Pokemon Cards. Please check our eBay page frequently and follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on what we’re selling!
